When brunch is life…

If you’re anything like us at Swipii then you appreciate a good brunch spot! And in Glasgow these days the options are endless, which on the one hand is great but also makes it harder and harder to decide where to go. But don’t worry, we have tried and tested a variety of places to help you out. Check out some of our favourites (soon to be yours too)…

Comet Pieces

First up is Comet Pieces, located near Botanic Gardens. Their signature rolls are what keeps us flocking to this joint, which consist of awesome sandwich fillings served in a Mortons roll… What is not to love! One of our favourites is the 24 hr marinated chicken thigh meat with sriracha mayo, spring onions and black pudding, it ticks all the boxes. And if you’re feeling especially peckish, add a hash brown to your roll. Perfection!

Singl-End Cafe

Looking for some lovely freshly baked goods?  Then why not try Singl-end Cafe. They have 2 locations in the City Centre- including Garnethill and the Merchant City. The cafes have a lovely bohemian vibe, so are a great place to chill with a cake and a cup of coffee. And if you are looking for something a bit more hearty, the baked eggs are delish and if you somehow aren’t full after that, good luck trying to pick one of the cakes afterwards as they all look amazing!

Le Petit Cochon

However, if you are craving some French delectables then head to Le Petit Cochon; located in the Finnieston area. This newbie is not only such a pretty place to eat but has a great wine menu. The sharing platter is great if you are struggling to decide what to get and is especially great when washed down with a carafe of wine. Oui, s’il vous plait!

Cafe Strange Brew

In the southside? Then Cafe Strange Brew is definitely one of the best places to check out. Whether you are in the mood for something savoury or have a sweet tooth, they have you covered. If you have a notion for something sweet then pancakes are the way to go. But our personal favourite is the chorizo patatas bravas- absolute dynamite!

Wilson Street Pantry

Wilson Street Pantry, located in Merchant City, is another spot which is worth a visit. Best of all, for every pound you spend, you can earn 10 points on their loyalty program with the Swipii app! And before you know it you will be earning some of their great rewards in no time; especially once they get you hooked on their poached eggs and smoked salmon.

Kaf Coffee

Have you ever tried a Scandi plate or babka toast? No? Then you need to get yourself to Kaf Coffee. Kaf is a cool spot located in the West End of Glasgow- but make sure you get yourself there early as it gets busy fast. Trust us when we tell you that everything on the menu is killer, so even if there is a queue, it’s well worth the wait.

The Coffee Garden

The Coffee Garden in Shawlands is another great location to hit up. A fairly new cafe, which is super cute to sit in due to the foliage everywhere… This gem serves up some classic pierogi which is hard to say no to! We couldn’t see past the classic cheesy beans on toast… It hits the spot!

So we have given you a couple of options for you to consider but as always if you have any suggestions, give us a shout. We are always looking for an excuse to try something new!
