If you fancy grabbing lunch before a stroll along the Clyde, Jules Café is in a prime position on Argyle Street, near Central Station. And there are tonnes of healthy options for us too.
From salt and chilli chicken to pancake stacks, you would have no idea that Kcal Kitchen can provide you with tasty healthy lunches! But they can, and do! Before you head there, take a look at their Facebook where they often post some of their top sellers, along with the calories and nutrition info. Very helpful indeed. They have a location in Edinburgh too, where you can get bottomless brunch!
Fit Food Bistro
Fit Food Bistro has had a popular location in Perth for a while now, as well as their Glasgow location. Our favourites have included a crispy duck wrap and of course, a coconut latte! You’ll find them while looking for your latest activewear/outdoorsy gear in the Tiso Glasgow Outdoor Experience.
For those of us who live in the Southside, Brooklyn Café is a regular haunt. With both an entirely vegan menu and one for the meat-eaters, there are loads of healthy options (for people who aren’t trying one of the crazy eating challenges). Plus, the rewards on offer on the Swipii app are brilliant! Tough Mudder anyone?! You’ll need to download the app to see what we mean 😉
At the tip-top of Hope Street, near the National Piping Centre and the Theatre Royal in Glasgow, you’ll find Café Hula! Freshly made sandwiches, home baking and delicious coffee coming your way when you head here for a visit. Perfect for a healthy lunch before a show.
As they put it on their own Facebook, Picnic is the place to go for “a healthy, guilt-free breakfast, lunch or dinner”- which is exactly what we’re after! Their tasty vegan dishes are top of the range, and their totally Instagram-able interior is the best place to hang out for a lunch date with your workmates. Yass!
Another vegan favourite to add to the list, you can go for healthy lunch options, or not-so-healthy dishes at the 13th Note bar on King Street, near Glasgow Green. They’ve got great food, great beer, and if you go for a bit of a late lunch, you might as well wait around and see which bands are playing downstairs in the venue that night! Check out their Facebook for what’s going on this week.
Primal Roast is our closest Swipii neighbour on the list, being right next door to our offices! Luckily, they’re well-stocked with great coffee and guilt-free food. From a wee soup to a tasty wrap or frittata, they’ve got loads of healthy options for us if we’ve forgotten to bring in our lunch.
Soul Food Kitchen
Not only can you grab some healthy lunches at Soul Food Kitchen, they’ve also got loads of exciting events going on if you’re interested in wellness- from juicing workshops, to workshops on how to make raw desserts and pop-up herbal dispensaries. Tonnes going on! Head for some healthy food and see what’s happening.
Fèist are our neighbours on St Vincent Street, and they’ve got a salad bar to die for. Complete with couscous and a range of fab sauces, you can basically make up whatever you fancy! We’re never stuck for somewhere to pop for a healthy lunch (and possibly a cake for afterwards)…
